I really like this exercise… a lot! Males and Females should want to build muscle as the muscle is what builds the metabolism and allows us to burn bodyfat.
Row To Grow
I recall decades ago the term “row to grow” and I took it to heart! I don’t think I look like a bodybuilder but instead athletic and I believe rowing has a lot to do with it. Rowing is a great way to build a big strong back.
It is very important to hold the core very tight, the back straight and not use momentum when performing the bent over row. Some common mistakes are rounding the back or pivoting at the waist which will not help with progress or safety.
Form & Safety
As always form and safety is extremely important. Injury is always possible. I have been doing movements like this for 26 years and adding weight is natural for me. Use caution and consult professionals. But keep in mind rule 2! Intensity is one of the rules I have lived by for over 26 years.
