Answering Ari Shaffir’s Question – Joe Rogan Experience #1194 – 3:46:40 | 2 Day Per Week Workout
I wanted to answer your question,
(Paraphrasing) “For a realistic 2 day a week healthy approach to fitness, what can I do and eat a little more often that would help me?”
This is my very short, very brief opinion to answer that question in a general manner based on what has worked for me. I can’t give specific advice simply due to the limited amount of information I have.
a) Lift weighs – Focus on getting stronger. Get a short 30-60 minute workout in and then get out to rest and recover.
b) Never miss your two day a week minimum.
c) Nutrition – Focus on getting sufficient protein and eating regular small meals. Make healthier selections and eat relatively balanced 25-30% protein, 40-50% carbs, 15-25% fats. Try not to over eat too often. Forget about extreme, elimination fad diets.
One can argue about stretching, overall activity level, cardio, mental health etc. I think these are important aspects of health as well. However, to boil it down to some very simple essential, biggest bang for the buck, ideas…. this is what I would do. I’m now 41 and I’ve had abs, naturally, for 26 years. I hope this helps.
